been a while since i been here, just thought i would stop by, say HI! and share this mix. mix was done on 2 cdjs a pioneer mixer, no serato, no mixed in key, no computer software.......
PHUNKDRUNK, named after that state that boxers get in, punch drunk, when getting punched in the head so much they appear drunk, kinda euphoric . well this mix hits u with so much funk ya might have that feeling at the end! It has that funky tech house feeling along with some tribal elements. a bit on the drummy side with with a smiggen of horns and some hip hop samples , really happy feelin shit. some breaky 4/4 action too.... im really diggin this new sound for me! feel free to give me some input on this mix, what u think about it , how it makes u feel, the mixing, transitions/blends etc............much appreciated!! http://soundcloud.com/aaronq/aaronq-...0-cd-final-mix

this is excellent! i love the first half, those tracks have a minimal feel but with funk. we all need more funk!! you typically have some of the smoothest transitions on your mixes i've ever heard. great vibe!

Yeah what Ornette said! Personally, a little minimal for me, but the tracks were for sure funky as hell! And mixing was very smooth. Nice work Aaron! Love the riverside rmx btw, mashed up with renegade master? dope. ;^)
