PART 1:

"Smartbomb," was one of the best selling breaks tracks to come out of the albeit spartan North American breakbeat scene. Selected by the Plump DJs (along with tracks by the Freestylers, Lee Coombs and Madox - aka Riva Starr) to be used on their artist album "Saturday Night Lotion" on the top breaks label of all time, Fingerlickin Records, the track is set for a double pack release and is supported by remix contest held by Computer Music magazine!

Myagi’s Laser Guided Remix:
First up is Pop And Lock's honcho Myagi, who rides the line between updating and remixing the track, taking what was already a bona fide classic and amping it up with new rolling techy vibes, extra acidic synths and hits, and even bigger builds.

Lazy Rich Remix:
Lazy Rich is a man needing less and less of an introduction over the last year, making it from relative obscurity to being one of the dominant names of the electro charts in a fashion similar to Miles Dyson or even the Mau5 and remixing everyone from Deadmau5 to Fatboy Slim! He does the original track a great service here, dropping it into chunky, funky party electro / tech territory and riding the groove from start to finish.

Plaza De Funk Remix:
Italy's top breaks export Plaza De Funk has had a great couple years churning out the bombs and touring the world, with every self respecting broken beat DJ dropping his tracks.....Norman Cook even placed a phone call to grab a copy of his Drum Monkeys remix on Westway, so he's certainly got the pedigree to do this tune proud......and does he ever! One of his finest moments to date, the hooks of the original get mashed up in a blender with some proper rolling breaker beats and wonky vocal effects to make a proper rocker of a tune.

Rob Focuz + Secureunit Remix:
Next up is a duo you'll be hearing more from for sure! Rob Focuz and Secureunit, winners of Computer Music's Myagi Remix Competition, turned in this absolute belter - a fusion of the best of whats going on in the realm of broken beat. The remix starts with some great live drums and a wicked use of the samples before breaking down into some serious bass fuelled dubstep that will slay any crowd

Pt2 Track Listing:
1. Myagi – Smartbomb (The Incredible Melting Man Remix)
2. Myagi – Smartbomb (Benjamin Leung and Groovy Cuvy Remix)
3. Myagi – Smartbomb (Undecided Remix)
4. Myagi – Smartbomb (Vocal Tool)

PART 2:

Following up part 1 of the Smartbomb re-release, we have the following 3 stormers for your dancefloor destroying pleasure!

This double pack of remixes of one of the best selling breaks tracks to emerge from North America went hand in hand with a remix contest held major industry magazine Computer Music that garnered huge press for the release right out the gate!

The Incredible Melting Man Remix:
First up, Canada's main man of filthy, wonky bass, The Incredible Melting Man! His career has seen lots of different sounds, but Anthony (Mr. Melt himself) is onto something here with his combination of electro, techno and fidget sounds. Reworking the original into a throbbing, bent bass monster, he does us proud and turns Smartbomb into a perfect warehouse number, the ideal soundtrack to lots and lots of wrong-ness.

Benjamin Leung and Groovy Cuvy Remix:
Next we have Benjamin Leung and Groovy Cuvy, two guys who will be releasing an original on Pop and Lock in the coming months. Their combo of thick bass sounds with a pounding house beat do a great job of setting the vibe for this chopped up remix that pushes all the right funky electro house buttons.

Undecided Remix:
California's Undecided turns in the third remix here, and its a techy breaks roller. His work with Kiro in the past has seen huge support, and as a solo effort this is a great outing - lots of synth stabs and effects punctuate a wicked breakbeat making this a great addition to the pack.

Vocal Tool:
Finally we have the vocal tool - its a vocal tool. Play it overtop of other tracks for extra smartbomb action or pitch it down and play it over one of the smartbomb remixes to make people woozy.
